Product Engineer (Batam)
Responsibilities:
The Product Engineer is responsible for the development and qualification of the mold that meet our customers’ product specifications and project timelines. He will be the key interface to our customers on all technical molding issues. He will also work closely with Sales on quotation and with Production on capacity and manufacturability issues.
Position Accountability
- Work closely with customer & mold maker on the product specifications and mold requirements
- Responsible for new mold testing, mold qualification and initial production ramp.
- Liaise with customer on mold modification and ECN
- Work with Production and Process Engineer to resolve any yield, cycle time and manufacturability issues related to the mold.
- Advice Sales on technical aspect of a quotation.
- Conduct capability study and identify manufacturability issues.
- Define BOM
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized institution.
- 2 years experience in molding industry & have knowledge on mold design
- Position based in Batam, Indonesia
- Able to communicate in English & Bahasar
- Familiar with MS Office
