WELDERS (3G / 4G / 6G)
Responsibilities:
- To perform Arc, TIC, MIG and MAC welding till 6G, pre-heating, post-heating of weldment, carry out dye penetrant testings, etc.
- Perform welding of ship structures and fittings
- Grind and gouge weldments if necessary to ensure the weldments meet with the specifications given
- Control distortions of ship structures and fittings
Requirement:
- NTC 3
- Able to do 3G and 4G arc welding with mild steel and high tensile (low hydrogen) electrodes, MIG/MAG welding using Carbon Dioxide and argon shielding gas
- Possess knowledge on usage of various types of welding electrodes and distortion control during welding process
- Singaporean / PR or Foreigners with local shipyard experience
