Job Summary as Chief Engineer:
• Set up and prepare budgeting for engineering and maintenance operations as well as capital expenditure budget.
• Conducted morning briefing and engineering meeting to promote the desired work culture to ours team around the five core values of trust, integrity, respect, one team and service excellent of the company.
• Contribute to the hotel’s/ mall’s profitability by ensuring the effectively management of the building environmental controls and energy conservations. Evaluate, control and record energy usage and implement and up grade energy conservations systems.
• Contribute tenant /guest satisfactions by ensuring that technical support service quickly address, and where possible, anticipate individual needs. Ensure the safety and comfort of guest/tenant and that any requests for service are handled in a courteous and efficient fashion.
• Ensure the effective financial management of the engineering department by setting budgets, capital works program and engineering plans, and ensuring that performance there are regularly monitored and reviewed. Responsible for general cost control aspect of maintenance, the preparations of departmental cost budget and their implementation and submission to management.
• Ensure the staff awareness of energy management within the property by conducting regular education and training program energy conservation and matters related to efficient operation of equipment in cost effective fashion.
• Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and fire code by regularly reviewing polices and safety procedures. Ensure that any test and inspections required on plant by statutory authorities are carried out as and when required and that all records and documentations associated with such test and surveys are correctly kept and/or displayed. Ensure the hotel/mall fulfil all compliance requirements.
• Ensure the cost effectiveness and technical efficiency of all service performed by out side contractors by close supervision.
