Sr. Industrial Engineer (Sr. IE)
Essentials job duties :
- Establish work measurement programs through work sample analysis to provide standards for the improvement of labour & equipment utilization maximizing value-added activities
- Analyze work force utilization, work flow, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of resources and develop improvements
- Work closely with management and staff to provide recommendations and implement plans for problem solving and continuous improvement
- Provide support, direction and lead activities involving problem identification, evaluation, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective countermeasures through the use of statistical tools and fact-based methodologies
- Examine and evaluate operational sequence, material flow, process flow, information flow, functional instructions, organization charts, planning and production schedules providing recommendations to maximize synchronicity, waste elimination, efficiencies, worker & equipment utilization, communication, and through-put in a controlled pace
- Familiarity and ability to perform work studies and process mapping for material movement, work flow, and communication identifying their inter-relationships and eliminating bottlenecks
- Ability to work in a challenging & fast-paced environment while making insightful and quick-minded decisions
- All administrative duties associated with I.E. group including management, development, evaluation and training
Requirements :
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar from a reputable University
- Shall have at least 5-8 years of hands-on experience in a similar position
- Engineers with experience in the construction business of the oil & gas industry are preferred, however relevant experience in the Shipbuilding and Petrochemical industries will also be considered
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Committed to Quality and Safety
- Familiarity with Project Planning, Control Engineering, Manufacturing Experience, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Database Design, Managing Processes, Developing Standards, OSHA Compliance, Analyzing Information, Quality Focus and Technical Zeal
- Willing to work in a fabrication/construction environment
Industrial Engineer (IE)
Essentials job duties :
- Conduct method studies
- Prepare production planning, schedule and control
- Participate in reviews and improvements of work processes and procedures
- Design shop floor layouts and process flow systems
- Assist in the upgrading of existing facilities and infrastructures
- Implement work improvement initiatives
Requirements :
- Degree in engineering, industrial engineering or similar from a reputable University
- Engineers with experience in the construction business of the oil & gas industry are preferred, however relevant experience in the Shipbuilding and Petrochemical industries will also be considered
- Applicants without engineering degrees but with 5 years of relevant experience may also apply
- Proficient in oral and written English
- Willing to work in a fabrication/construction environment
