A leading Shipyard and Offshore company in Batam Island, is seeking suitably qualified candidates to join the company as:

Accountant

  • Must be a professionally qualified Chartered or Certified Public Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience in an average/similar organization, preferably with Project Accounting background
  • Should have a fair knowledge of local tax issues and be able to independently deal with Tax Authorities and Auditors. Should also possess good planning, organizing and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the day-today banking operations, maintaining the cashbook, preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Deal with statutory tax issue, tax computation and filing of tax returns on a timely manner. If necessary seek assistance from External Auditors
  • Liaise with External Auditors on planning and finalizing the annual audit
  • Timely preparation of the Annual Budget - OPEX & CAPEX
